The project is aimed at people with Down's syndrome and other physical, intellectual and relational disabilities - offering activities in close contact with plants and nature in historic gardens.

These initiatives are intended to foster a real process of social inclusion and employment prospects, contributing to enhancing the historical, artistic, cultural and environmental heritage and experimenting with new forms of museum fruition and teaching.

On 7th of October 2017 The "Campo dei Miracoli" project was publicly presented by the "Boboli" Association at Palazzo Medici Riccardi during the 3rd Week of the Fiorentine Cultural Associations.

Key speakers were:

  • Eleonora Pecchioli - The Field of Miracles in Historical Gardens
  • Daniele Angelotti - Gardens to Produce & Gardens to Treat
  • Ilenia Agresti - Orthopedics and Horticultural Therapy: The importance of healthy gardens

The week was organized by Centro Fiorentine Cultural Associations in collaboration with CESVOT, with the patronage of the Tuscany Region and the Metropolitan City of Florence and the support of the Cassa di Risparmio Foundation in Florence.

The project kick-off meeting is held on 23rd and 24th of November in Florence, Italy.
