​​​​​​​​The project is aimed at people with Down's syndrome and other physical, intellectual and relational disabilities - offering activities in close contact with plants and nature in historic gardens.

These initiatives are intended to foster a real process of social inclusion and employment prospects, contributing to enhancing the historical, artistic, cultural and environmental heritage and promoting innovative methods of teaching.
The project kick-off meeting was held on 23rd and 24th of November 2017 in Florence, Italy.

Campo dei Miracoli project aims to improve the quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities and their families and relationships, organizing horticutlural activities in historic gardens.

Campo dei Miracoli seeks:

  • to increase social participation in local, regional, national and European level;
  • to promote inclusion, diversity, intercultural dialogue and the common European values of tolerance and respect for human rights, especially in relation to intellectual, physical and social disabilities;
  • to support innovation and creativity in the development of innovative practices through partnerships and interdisciplinary approaches;
  • to enchance quality in adult education and youth work;
  • to include chidren and youth with disabilities and promote among them, their families and their communities a sense of sharing and responsibility;
  • to develop knowlege and practical skills on prevention of ableism and marginalization of people with disabilities; promotion of ther rights to educatioin and employment;
  • to further develop the skills of project partner organizations to involve people with disabilities;
  • to further develop the professional profile of hosricultural therapyst, working specifically with children and young adults with disabilities.
